After looking at my family history, we may be barking up the wrong tree. The Catherine that I was thinking of was a grandchild of my Herman and Catherine Bates Lippert. I will give you a little of their history anyway, so that you can follow up with it.

Herman, born Oct. 17, 1794 in Eichelheim. With Catherine and three young sons, left for America from Bremenon 3/3/34, and arrived N.O. 6/3/34. Traveled Mississippi to Beardstown area, Cass/Morgan County. Settled in Arenzville. Have record of only two more children(both boys) born after reaching America. One dau. Albidena was born enroute from Germany on their ship, The Albi. Hence, her name. Both Herman and Catherine did die before 1850, however, in 1847. Have record of the two younger boys being sent to live with families in area. It seems almost too strange that there would have been another Lippert family living so close at same time period that I have no record of. Everything else seems to fit your description, except having a record of Catherine (Jr.). I am intrigued. Keep me posted and I'll continue to dig. What census did you find your Catherine listed on?
