Thank you so much for responding.

And, yes I am very much still interested in Catherine because she's my Gx2 Grandmother.

After discovering her surname by birth was Lippert, I solved one piece of the mystery surrounding her life.

However, when I found her in the 1850 census - without her parents - another brick wall went up. I could not imagine how she came to be living there (probably a boarding house.) I thought perhaps something happened to her parents, causing others to become responsible for her care, but found no information supporting that theory.

I've got a wonderful account of her life and descendants - after her marriage and migration to Texas and felt fortunate to have traced her as far back as 1850.

I am very anxious to learn more about her parents and the circumstances surrounding their emigration to the USA.

Really appreciate the response.

~ Jeff
