I really don't know for sure. The birthplace came from his intent to naturalize - which of course also told me he came from Bavaria.... It appears someone other than John filled out the form and he signed it - the handwriting is different. I have assumed from these facts that this meant the name is not an exact spelling. So far any attempts to find Titlifsrot in Bavaria have resulted in nothing... Thanks for your reply - this gives me another lead to follow... Keith Notify Administrator about this message?
