Gloria, According to State Hosp. records, he escaped Mar. 20, 1900. He could have been drowned in the storm, but I'll bet he was long gone from Austin! I rsearched newspapers of the time and if he drowned anywhere near Austin, his body wasn't found. Interesting, isn't it?
We just had a death in our family. Janet Lippe, wife of Ruben, died in Plano July 21. She was 61.
