I am in touch with another Lintecum researcher and feel that you are starting with a bad assumption with the John T. Linthicum. The John Lintecum who married Jerusha Bowe is indeed a different individual and currently defies further definition of his heritage.
This is a very common problem and IMO at least 1/2 the trees on Ancestry and Rootsweb have the wrong husband for Jerusha Bowe even though both marriage records are available and you can follow each family separately fairly easily without John Lintecum who fades from the scene around 1850.
If you haven't figured all this out and still are getting info from this board, I most likely could aid your research and direct you to a Lintecum cousin so you could both work on finding the right ggggggg-grand daddy.
