If I'm following you correctly, you think that Thomas's ancestors were recruited from England to go to Ireland?

At what point does one stop referring to their ancestors' place of birth as their country of origin and start using the country where he (or she) is born?

Regardless, I'm sure it will be more satisfying for all to be able to dig deeper into the Linthicum heritage.
