Hi. Read your post. I was curious, are you sure it was a William Linthicum married to Nancy Reed. The reason I ask is that I have information on a David M (probably middle name was Milton) Linthicum who was married to a Nancy Reed in Monroe Co in 1877. This Nancy was a daughter of Hiram and Henrietta Reed. David, Nancy and her sister Rebecca E. Reed are buried in the Graves Cemetery located in Lawrence County IN (this is my Graves Family Cemetery). David was born in 1859 and died in 1909. Nancy was born in 1860 and died in 1894. David and Nancy's son Guy is buried there also.

If you research the Linthicums, make sure you use various names such as Lincicome, Linscomb, Lincicum, Liniscome because they used the various versions/spellings over many years.

There was a William Linthicum/Lincicome who married a Elizabeth Harris and did live in Monroe Co. I do not know of another William Linthicum in Monroe Co.

A few of David and Nancy's other children were Bert L, Grover.

I looked up your marriage record of John Linthicum in my transcribed book, it does say Wm for the father and Nancy Reed for the Mother. I just can't place a Wm in the Linthicum families of the area. I know about several as most originated out of NC. One family ended up taking in Snow children. Which I descend from one. I just can't seem to place William, it could be he was using his middle name though. I know information about the NC Linthicums.
