from 1790- 1800-1810 census Richard was born ca 1745 He had a daughter ( my gggrandmother Elizabeth b 1774 " Eastern shores of Maryland Richard died 1819 leaving grown children. Information on web states he married a Mary Sherwood- she died and Richard and children came to Guilford Co. Some Sherwood info from Greensboro states Francis Linthicum Sherwood ( dau of Francis Linthicum and Eleanor Williams) came to Greensboro with her cousin Richard pre 1790. This would have made him the son of Thomas Linthicum and his wife Elizabeth Williams. That Badger book is wrong- she states that Richard died 1759 yet the father of Elizabeth Williams left to his grandson Richard property late 1759- after the time for death of Richard. The only record for Rev war is for the Richard Linthicum b 1752 and he is accounted in DAR records.
