Seeking information about H. L. Linthicum.
The name appears on the rib of a 12 gauge double-barreled percussion shotgun carried by my great uncle in the Confederacy during the Civil war. It specifically says: " (unreadable) by H. L. Linthicum, Geo'town, D. C."
I found that there was a hardware store by the name of "Linthicum" in Georgetown during that period, and my relative lived in Georgetown in 1861 when he joined the conferacy in Virginia. I'd like to know more about Mr. Linthicum. Please reply if you have any injformation on him or his family.
