My Arlington County (Va.) Library has copies of a "Reconstructed Census" for Virginia in 1720, 1740 and 1760. Only in the 1760 listing is/are Thomas Linthecum/Thomas Linthicum listed in Cumberland County Order Book, 1758-1762. This available on LVA Reel 23, presumeably Library of Virginia, Cumberland 18:282 and 18:140 respectively.
