*JACOB LINGERFELT b. 9/8/1840 d. 3/15/1897 McMinn Co., TN m1. Liza Jane Cheek m2 Martha Catherine Gregory. 10/9/1870. Jacob and Mary are buried in Pond Hill Cemetery, McMinn Co., TN. Jacob was listed as farmer cobbler, and blacksmith. My greatgrandfather David Riley Lingerfelt, himself a blacksmith, bought the cobblers lasts from Jacob's widow and he still had them when he died in 1961. David Riley is in the same Lingerfelt family but unconnected at this time. His fathe was Solomon S. Lingerfelt and his grandfather was Jacob Lingerfelt born 1816 in Lincoln Co., NC
and he married Mary Long in 1831. There is much much more about 200 pages worth. I hope this small amount helps.
