My research shows Jean de Lignberger left Wittleshein in the Alsac-Lorinane area in 1734 from Rotterdam aboard the ship "Bellande Olina" arriving Philadephia 1735.

He had 3 sons, John 1734-1815 who lived in Hawkshill Valley, Page Co, VA.and Peter and Capt Lewis (D.1776, murdered by Pat Carr of GA.), who both moved to Gaston Co, NC. and 2 daughters Barbara (Stover) and Mary (Kauffman).

Capt Lewis Lineberger was married to Barabara Anna Maria Spanheimer and had 7 children, the boys being Fredrick, John, and Lewis. (I would think Lewis was born more around 1776 or earlier)

Lewis married Fanny Rhyne and had 13 children, the boys were Lewis (who also married a Fanny Rhyne b.1810d.1828
then Eliz.Rasour),
Michael, Caleb (married Susan Hoffman b.1821 d.1908)
Ephraim, Jonas, Peter, and Solomon.

Hope that helps some,

Antony Lineberger
