Hello Sharon,
We most certainly DO have a connection!I'm your aunt Toni. Henry was my brother.
First of all...my condolences on David's death.I lost track of all of you many years ago.
A few things you mentioned were slightly out of kilter.Henry's (and my) father was Charles, not Henry. His Swedish name was Kaarlo Maino Lehtmosvarta. He and Helmi were never married. He had been married to a woman from Fitchburg...they had 5 children. After he left Helmi, he married Delia Stasz from Woonsocket. They never had any children.Their house wasn't on the beach...it's about 5 miles upriver. It was at 6 Linden Street, Westerly. When I moved in with them it was only 3 rooms, which they later enlarged when I left in 1956. Dee had a lingerie shop in Westerly, Chardee's, which is what they named their boats.Charles designed staplers for Bostich, which is across the river in Connecticut.Yes, they did have money, but I think most it was Dee's.Charles wasn't all that young when he died...July 24, 1969.He was 50 before I was born, February 8, 1939...which would make him 80.Your father died about 12 years ago in Fitchbury of prostate cancer. He passed away about 2 hours after his current wife, Linda, died of liver failure.
You were right about them both being SUPER-intelligent.I had the misfortune of having to go to the same school (Babcock Junior High) that Henry had.He had made quite an impression on his social studies teacher.I could never quite keep up.My only claim to fame has been the ability to sew and crochet.
I have some pictures (if I can get them back from my daughter Robynne in CA) and papers you might be interested in.
