From the Chatsworth Plaindealer
NOVEMBER 12, 1925
Robert Lindsey died Tuesday ( Nov. 10) morning at the Livingston county home near Pontiac.
The body was taken to a cemetery near Del Rey Wednesday for burial. Parents and other relatives of the man are buried there.
Mr. Lindsey had been a resident of Chatsworth for a good many years. Born near Onarga he grew to manhood there and learned the carpenter trade which he followed until advancing age compelled him to relinquish activities. A number of years ago he purchased a little home and a parcel of ground near the Illinois Central depot and of late years lived the life of a recluse. Here he raised a few chickens, did odd jobs of carpentering and had few cares. Last spring he began to complain of ill health and slowly declined. He went to Iowa in the early fall for a visit with relatives and was quite ill there but was able to return to his little home. About two weeks ago he was on longer able to care for himself and was persuaded to go to the county home where he received good medical attention and care.
He was about 72 years old and a bachelor.
