myself and other family lineage researchers are at a brickwall for years now on our Isaac Lindsey. There are many other Isaac Lindseys that we have found, but can't be certain on any of them, or confirm them as not ours. There is extensive history on an Isaac Lindsey in Texas; not him.
Chances are, any information uncovered will be from a distantly removed cousin not in our direct line from him, but from another branch we have not researched.
The Isaac Lindsey were are searching owned property in Louisiana in early 1800's. He was married to Mary Tate, whose family tree I can trace back to 1680.
He served in the War of 1812.
His Children were William D. 'Buck' Lindsey B' 1825 in Louisiana D:1903 Gillsburg, MS
Married to Elizabeth (Betsy) Day.
William is my direct lineage.
Isaac's other children are Lucinda, Isaac Jr., & Malinda
Where Isaac was born or what their is of his life prior to purchase of property, is unknown. We have no b-day or other information at all.
I will continue with my direct line in hopes that someone or someone's information will sync with this and might lead us to Isaac and beyond. And if not, we will at least be able to link to other relatives in our line.
William 'Buck' Lindsey, son of Isaac, was also married to Cecela Easley and had Mary & Monroe with her.
With Betsy Day, William 'Buck' Lindsey had
William b: Jan. 7, 1861 in Gillsburg, MS D:Sept. 4, 1935
Nathaniel, Mary Ann, John, Isaac, Martha, Mozella & Cynderella.
My line is from William 'Billy' Lindsey who married Susan Zeagler (whose family line I can trace to Germany in 1400's)
W.'Billy' Lindsey bought Varnado place in Greensburg, LA in 1916.
He had legal troubles in Amite County Mississippi in either late 1800's or early 1900's. One source says 1906. His father, William 'Buck' Lindsey may or may not be part of these legal troubles, but with a death date of 1903, it doesn't seem likely.
He also attempted to gain custody of his brother, Isaac.
William & Susan's had a son, Benjamin Franklin Lindsey B:1886 and was murdered Jan. 27, 1924 in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana and is buried in St.Helena Parish.
He was married to Callie Womack B:1889
These are my great grandparents.
I hope some of these roads can link to another and to information regarding anyone listed here, and to and through Isaac Lindsey.
The origin of Isaac Lindsey is not known, the earliest information we can find is connected to Mississippi.
