Many of the Linsey's during that time period trace back to the Linsey's in DNA Group 2. I descend from Nelson Linsey in Washington Co GA born 1790 NC, probably in GA by or before 1818 (DNA Group 3).David Linsey (not proven related but must be a brother/cousin since they lived on the same or adjoining land in Peacock District, Washington Co GA)came to GA probably after 1804 and did draw some land in Wilkinson Co in 1807 Lottery.David could not have been the father of Nelson per ages they gave on the 1850 Census. We know that David Linsey received money from the estate of Sion Linsey and a John Linsey was the administrator of the estate of Sion 1808-1812 recorded in GA. Also, we know that one John Linsey of Jones Co GA filed a suit against William Linsey of Nash Co NC 1815 regarding money owed him. Wm Linsey of Nash Co NC died 1817. John died 1819.We do not know how any of these are related but if we did it would help in identifying how Nelson and David were connected to the Nash Co Linseys. Do you know if Nelson and David were sons of John? Were John and Wm of Nash Co 1817 brothers? Any info would be apprecited. Thanks
