I have a Canadian Census from 1911 that I know to be correct. I also have the passenger manifest of the ship he came from Scotland on in 1907. So I looked at all of the other Peter Lindsay's that show up in the same area born about the correct time. Only one other could be a possibility but listed the wrong occupation. The Naming conventions for Peter H Lindsay's family fit the standard, since Peter's sons name was James like his father. I am uncertain what the H stands for. The reason I have some confidence of the occupation is from a news paper article that he was interviewed for 1959. He mentions his father and grandfather by there occupation, unfortunately the article doesn't mention their names. If I can prove Archibald is a Presbyterian Preacher, this it wold fit. The Scotland census says he was a farmer, perhaps he ministered on Sundays. I am still trying to find a marriage certificate. My Great grandmother was around 16 at the time, so I think the circumstances may not have favored a traditional type of wedding in 1915. My grandfather was born when she was 17. Calgary is really a recollection my father had, I don't have proof yet. I don't plan on going further until I can make these connections more conclusively. I am having some good success on other branches of the family at the moment. Nobody in my dads family ever talked about this stuff. Thanks for all of your input. It has been helpful.
