You are correct. I have the dates messed up.
Peter H. Lindsay was born on 4/28/1888 as I have recently found out.
He Immigrated to Canada 5/15/1907 From Scotland
He was married 1915 possibly in Calgary, Alberta, Canada
He died 6/2/1973.

I have found one Peter H Lindsay born in 1888 that lived in Carluke. I hope there can't be more than one. The census data I found did list his father as a miner. So if this is correct, then his father is James Lindsay b. 1848, son of Archibald Lindsay b. 1821.

So How do I get beyond Archibald? Any help is greatly appreciated. I am new at this. Thanks!
