I am trying to find the parents of Rachel Lindsay born about 1743 in Stonehouse, Lanark, Scotland. She married William Semple born about 1739, also in Stonehouse, on June 24th 1761 and they had 5 sons, 4 which appeared to have lived to adulthood.
Their sons were William, born Nov 12 1764, James born 16 Aug 1766, another James born 27 Mar 1768, Samuel born 9 Jan 1770, and Alexander born 3 Jan 1772.
I don't know if they had only boys or recorded only the births of the boys? Any assistance appreciated.
