Benjamin Franklin Lindsay was born in 1845 in Ohio to parents Thomas Lindsay b.1814 Ohio and Mary Pindell b.1817 Ohio.
He married a woman in Appanoose Co Iowa and brought the child (Mary Lou Lindsay b.27-Sep-1868)to Ohio in 1869 and left the child with his parents. This was confirmed in Census as relation 'Gdau' grandaughter living at Thomas Lindsay's residence.
It rumoured that his wife was Sioux Indian and that they either returned to Iowa or went somewhere else.
I cannot find a record of his death anywhere.
There is also some records of a Marriage to Margaret Grisham in 1867 but no indication of when she died. So I wonder if he had a second wife.
