William Lindsay, brother of Carnie and Martin Lindsay, son of Kiliab & Eleanor (Loop) Lindsay, was born in Attica, Wyoming Co., N Y, Jan. 16th, 1823, lived at home until he was twenty-six, in 1849 removed to Genesee Co., NY; in 1856 bought the farm where he has since lived, and was married to HARRIET HOLCOMB, daughter of Alpheus and Lydia Holcomb, of Java, Wyoming Co., NY.
