Electa Lindley, b. May 6, 1794 VT
I'm looking for information about Electa Lindley, b. May 6, 1794 in Vermont, married Elijah Carley (b. abt 1790 in NY) in 1815 in Jefferson county Indiana, d. March 10, 1863 in Clark county Indiana...
*I am especially wondering if anybody has any information on where in VT Electa was born, and who her parents were.
I am curious of what her connection to Eunice Lindley/Lindsley/Linsley (b. June 4, 1769, Litchfield, CT) who married Elijah's father Richard Carley in IN after Stephen Doplh's death (court records in IN show Elijah helping Stephen & Eunice's son Stephen helping settle the estate).
Eunice apparently was to marry a third time and end up in MI.
Eunice was the daughter of Solomon Lindley/Lindsley/Lisley, b. 1725 in CT.Solomon was an early settler of Cornwall in Addison county, VT (though he didn't die there, relatives did, and some descendants remain in VT)I am curious if Electa Lindley has a connection to Cornwall, VT.
Before they went to IN, Eunice Lindley married Stephen Solomon Dolph (b. 1765, Stamford CT) in 1790.Some records show this as being Cornwall, NY, however, I also found a record for a Eunice Sinsly being married to Stephen Solomon on the same date in Cornwall, Addison county, Vermont.
Eunice and Electa knew each other in IN, Electa was born in VT, where Eunice's father had settled, does anyone have any further information about Electa's origins or her connection to Eunice? It would be most appreciated!
