This is very cool what you have found! Here's what I am basing my belief that Margaret was the daughter of Nicholas:""Jan 15, 1812 On 29th, Dr. John Henry Begen of Petersburg to Margaret Lind, daughter of Nicholas Lind of Frederick county, MD"Adams County, PA Newspaper Extracts – Marriages, 1804-1834(found on the following website: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=ancestorsearchresults.asphttp://www.familysearch.org/Eng/search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=ancestorsearchresults.asp )
Of course, the newspaper clipping could be wrong, but Margaret did have a brother John and perhaps they were very close.
I also wanted to tell you that I tried to send you an email just a few weeks ago, so I'm so glad that you contacted me.My email was about the Smith and Kirkpatrick lines that you are also related too because so am I!The email bounced back to me because I must have had an old address, but I would like to correspond about these families. If memory serves me right, you descend through Joseph Smith and one of his many Kirkpatrick wives.I descend through two of Joseph's brothers (because my grandma and grandpa were third cousins!).I descend through Daniel Smith and his wf Catherine Staley, and their brother Christian Smith and his wife Nancy Kirkpatrick (so we're also related through the Kirkpatrick line!)
Hope to hear from you soon!
