Mary Ellen Lackey born Jan. 1, 1862 in Texas. She was married to Charley McCarty. The Census records I have found show his birth date as 1834, Canada Irish. I have found them in the 1910 Arkansas Census Poinsett County, Bolivar, with Charley – head – Canada Irish – Parents born - Ireland. Mary – wife – Texas – Father born – Ireland, Mother born – Illinois. It also has M2 for her marriage status. Children listed are : Lilly – Texas, Lucy – Texas, James – Texas, Thomas – Arkansas.
I found Mary on the 1920 Arkansas Census, Mississippi County, Blytheville, listed as a Widow – born – Texas, Father born – Illinois, Mother born – Illinois. Children listed in household are, James – Texas, Thomas – Arkansas. Living next door to her is her Daughter Lilly, and Husband, John W. Martin.
On the 1930 Arkansas Census, Mississippi County, Blytheville, Mary is listed as Widow, Mother in law, living with her Daughter Lucy and Her Husband, Ira Bohanning. Two doors down, another Daughter, Belle is listed with her Husband, Sam Roark.
I am trying to find out if Mary was really married twice and if her first Husband was a Hall and who was he? Also who were Mary’s parents?
I also need information on Mary’s Daughter Belle. Her full name was Rosa Belle Hall or McCarty, Born March 3, 1878 in Texas. She was married three times that I know of. First to Carl Ludwig Lind on Oct. 25, 1895 Collin County Texas and had three children – Lilly 1896 – Texas, John Francis 1898 – Texas, Charles William 1900 - Arkansas.
Second Marriage to Benjamin England about 1904 and had 2 Children - Theodore 1906 – Arkansas, Benjamin 1911 – Texas.
Third Marriage was to Samuel Roark.
I find her in the 1910 Texas Fort Bend County Census with Benjamin England as head of house along with Theodore England, Lillie Lind, Frank Lind, and Willie Lind
Some of Belle’s Children were raised by a L.C. Harmon and his wife Cliffie. I would like to know how they are connected to the Family and who they were. Thank you, Debra
