I'm sure they were all related and all from Thomas the miller.
Thomas-1 the miller c1603-1684
Thomas-2 c1628-1696 m. Mary Austin
Thomas-3 1656-c1721 m. Mary Stacey
Sgt Nathaniel-4 1684-1761 m. Alice Andrews
Ichabod-5 1727-1768 m. Hannah Codding
Ichabod-6 1750-1833 m. Waitstill Ingell
I do not show the Ichabod born 1794 married Malinda Griffin in my records.I do have another, 1791-1864, m. Polly Barney and stayed in Taunton his whole life, buried there. His descent is:
Thomas-1 the miller c1603-1684
Thomas-2 c1628-1696 m. Mary Austin
Thomas-3 1656-c1721 m. Mary Stacey
Sgt Nathaniel-4 1684-1761 m. Alice Andrews
Ichabod-5 1727-1768 m. Hannah Codding
Asa-6 1756-1830 m. Mary "Polly" Morris
I've found three general paths from Taunton, MA to upstate NY - via Windham, CT and then up the CT River valley to VT and then westward; to Westmoreland, NH and across to VT and then to NY; and across MA through Lanesborough and on to NY.
The first group was established in CT in the 1690s.The second was a NH land grant due to compensation for Rev War service. The third seems to be just seeking better farmland and opportunity.
