I live in Melbourne, Australia. My grandmother's maiden name was Limpus. She was one of nine children who lived in Port Adelaide, South Australia. She is only survived by her sister, whose name is Charlotte.

I realise that a connection is probably quite remote but was wondering if you know anything about the origins of the Limpus family. I suspect it is an English name but have not been able to find anything.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Marian Clarkin.
