Patrick Hannigan - Born about 1840 in County Limerick

I am looking for my GGGF from County Limerick. His name is Patrick (Joseph) Hannigan. According to his 1884 New York City death certificate, he was born in 1840 to Cornelius and Mary Hannigan. His headstone indicates he was born in County Limerick.

I believe he immigrated to the US in about 1867, married Catherine (Kate) O'Neil and her first daughter, Mary in 1867/68. She birthed seven children and passed away in 1925 in New York City.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
