This information was sent to me while trying to find info on my ggrandmother Mary Ellen Powers Shell. Thought someone may find it useful.
1850 Census Washington VA listed as Bowers and no ages. Denotes that they were not interviewed but information obtained possibly by a neighbor. Parents Henry Powers/Sarah Sallie Gobble in HH 409,409.
