Betsey Lilly, age 60, born Mass., is enumerated in the 1850 census, Webster, Worcester Co., Mass., living with a widower, John Fairfield, and his children. In 1860, Betsey surname Fairfield, age 67, b. Mass., is listed under John Fairfield, China Township, St. Clair County, Michigan. John Fairfield died in China Township 13 Feb. 1866; "Mrs. Fairfield" died 14 Feb. 1866; both are buried in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair, Michigan. Perhaps Lilly was Betsey's surname from a first marriage? Seeking any information about Betsey. John Fairfield's first wife was Lydia Anne Dodge who died in Southbridge, Mass. 1844.
