I spoke to my mother about our conversation, she agreed it was Cherokee blood and she recalled the name of Whitehead, sorry I do not know what generation it is from, but I would suspect it is close enough for her to remember, also I believe it came from a female side.(My Mother Bdate 1937.) She receieved much of her info from a cousin named Irene, sorry I do not know Irene's last name. I do know she went to a Liles reunion somewere in TX a couple of years ago. I also know she is an older lady 70-80 years old. Hope this helps, would love any info you have.... Mind if I call you cousin? My mother found some old newspaper stuff she received from grandma Liles, I'm going though it tonight... Hope we can make more connections..
