In your previous message you stated that you do not know much about this family. I have beem researching the Ligon Family for about 15 years and I have a lot of information on his family.
If you are related to any one of the Ligon Family you referenced in you message than you are relate to all of them. Col Thomas Lygon/Ligon (1623-1675) who married Mary Harris was around 16 years old when he left his home at Mardresfield Court in England and came to this country with his cousin, William Lord Berkeley, the Royal Governor of Virginia. Col Thomas Ligon and Mary Harris had 7 children and their 2nd child was Major William Ligon (1650-c1689) who married Mary Tanner. The first child of Major William Ligon and Mary Tanner was Thomas Ligon who married Elizabeth Worsham.
The ancestry of Col Thomas Lygon/Ligon has been traced back another 10 generation in England to George Lygon.
I am interested in the DNA Project because I have only been able to trace my ancestry back to Paul Liggon/Liggin (1775-1853) who married Delila Cawthorn and lived in Henrico Co., VA. It would be great to know just how my Liggon Family was connected to Col Thomas Lygon/Ligon.
