I am not sure yet.My 3rd great grandmother Nancy Wingo Brown is supposed to be the dau of Obadiah Wingo and his 2nd wife Obedience Ligon.
I have found tons of information in various reference books on many members if the Ligon family, but nothing on this Obedience.
I have not seen the Ligon book refered to here, nor am I familiar with it, and whether it is well documented and sourced.
I am a bit of a stickler for verification - especially when it may tie in with a long lineage.Finding reference books on Southern families is a bit tough in my neck of the woods.
I am very greatful for the responses I have received. It helps tremendously to know what names you are searching for when you get into these reference sources.
