DWAINE LIGHTY
MARCH 21, 1974
Dwaine W. Lighty, 58, was dead on arrival at Fairbury hospital at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 1974. He became ill at his home.
His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. today, March 21, at the Culkin Memorial Home, Chatsworth, with Rev. Margaret Poe officiating. Burial will be in Chatsworth cemetery.
He was born August 2, 1915, at Chatsworth, a son of Elmer and Sarah Prater Lighty. He married Mary Jame Krebs Feb. 5, 1945 at Forrest.
Surviving are his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Mary Garrels, Long Beach, California; Miss Mae Lighty, Fairbury; Mrs. Nancey Brandenburg, Watseka; Mrs. Linda Saltzman, Chatsworth; Miss Janice Lighty, at home; two sons, Michael, Auburn, Wash.; Duane, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Serene, Cullom; Mrs. Leatha Serene, Battle Creek, Mich.; Mrs. Ruth Perry, Chatsworth; two brothers, Albert Lighty, Park Rapids, Minn.; Herschell Lighty, Rockwell City, Iowa; seven grandchildren.
Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Chatsworth American Legion.
