JOHN WALKER:

NORWICH - John Walker, 74, of 808 Ackerman Ave., Syracuse, died Wednesday at Community-General Hospital, Syracuse.

Born in Syracuse, he was a former Army major and professor of military science at Syracuse University.

He was active in Syracuse Masonic affairs, and was a member of Central City 305, Scottish Rite, the York Rite, Red Cross of Constantino and Council of Jerusalem.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Fahey Funeral Home, Norwich. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in North Norwich Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, the former Vivian Collier; a sister, Mrs. Laura [Walker] Lighthall of Johnstown; a brother, Richard Morey Walker of Jordan and a niece, Nancy Ann Van Denburgh of Johnstown.

Contributions may be made to the memorial fund of First United Methodist Church of Syracuse.

WALKER SERVICES HELD:

Services for John Walker, 74, of 808 Ackerman Ave., who died Wednesday at Community-General Hospital, were at 1:30 p.m. today at Fahey Funeral Home, Norwich. Burial will be in North Norwich Cemetery.

Born in Syracuse, he was the son of the late Frank J.M. Walker, who had been a professor of military science at Syracuse University and dean of the SU College of Law.

Mr. Walker was active in Syracuse Masonic affairs. He was a member of Central City 305, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Red Cross of Constantine and Council of Jerusalem.
