Hello...I am most interested in your Dakeyne ancestry. I am looking for information on a George Dakeyne, born about 1650. He was a surveyor who arrived in New Castle Delaware about 1682 with William Penn. He surveyed various locales in Pennsylvania and Delaware, USA. He is the first of my ancestors that I have been able to trace. I haven't been able to find him in England or before. After he arrived in the states, the name changes to Deakyne. That is my maiden name. I would be very appreciative is anyone could help me. My e-mail is cbmjja@cs.com. Thanking you in advance. Carol
