I have been trying to locate a great uncle of mine for quite some time. His name was Ely (Eli) Light, born 17 January 1872 in Oaktown, Knox Co., Indiana, to James & Lucinda (Moore) Light. Eli Light married Alma Pearle Jones on 4 July 1899 in North Platte, Lincoln Co., Nebraska, and they had at least one son that I am know of, Bud, born March 1900 in Nebraska. Eli, Alma, and their son, Bud, are enumerated in the 1900 U.S. Federal Census living in Butler Co., Nebraska.
From an old newspaper article and an obituary I recently found for his sisters, I have learned that Ely (Eli) Light was living in High Point, NC, in 1926 and again (still?) in 1947.
I would appreciate anything anyone has on this family and will gladly share my information with you.
