Hi Carrie,

William Wright Light was the son of Tempe Light. Father unknown. (see the 1870 Hawkins Co. census).

Tempe was the daughter of Stacy Light and Rhoda Morrison Light. (see the 1850 Hawkins Co. census).

Stacy was the son of John Light Sr. and wife (no positive proof, but believed to be Winnie Tittsworth). In a deed of land to Stacy Light and John Light Jr. from their father-in-law, James Morrison, he states they are the husbands of his daughters, Rhoda and Jane Morrson and leaves his land to them for taking care of him.

Since it is evident that John Jr. was a son of John Sr., then I'm assuming that Stacy was his brother and they had married Morrison sisters. However, there is no concrete proof of that, that I have found.

John Sr. was born abt. 1763 in Halifax Co. VA and was the son of William Light and Patience Dillingham Light. He was a Revolutionary Soldier and his record is on file at the Washington Archives.

William Light was the son of John Light of Halifax Co. VA and his wife, Bridgett (maiden name unknown). This John Light died 1790 leaving his will in Halifax and names his wife and children.

William was born around 1745 in Halifax Co. VA and died 1817 in Hawkins Co. TN leaving his will and naming his wife, Patience and his children.

I belive Myrtle married Nathaniel Light of the Sullivan County Lights. (?)

Hope this helps.
