Please note that I have posted erroneous information about Russel Light. There was NOT a Russel Light enumerated in the 1810 Indiana Census. In fact, if memory serves me, the 1810 Indiana census was destroyed. The Harrison Co., IN, census was reconstructed from documents found in the Harrison County Courthouse, Corydon, IN, but that is the only 1810 census record I have found in Indiana.
Russel Light (1803-1864) was first found enumerated in the 1820 Knox County, IN, census, age "of 16 and under 25", living with another male, age "between 16 and 18". His mother, Sarah/Sally Light Shuck migrated from Washington Co., KY, with her second husband, Philip Shuck, and his brother, Blewford Light (1807-1846), circa 1816.
Russel soon removed to Knox Co., IN. Blewford remained in Harrison Co., IN, until 1836 when he and his family along with his mother, Sarah/Sally Light Shuck (her second husband, Philip Shuck, died on 16 Sep 1835), moved to Knox Co., IN, where all three lived until their deaths.
I will gladly share information with anyone who is interested in this family.
