Hello Harvey:
I am not aware of any connection between our families but many of my ancestors came from Tennessee (Hawkins, Humphreys and Sullivan counties)and there could be a connection at some point back in time. There was also a branch of our tree that migrated to South Carolina and many of them settled in some of the southern states as well.
I do have some information on your Roy Eugene Light in my files which follows:
Roy Eugene Light, b. August 28, 1897 in Tate County, (perhaps Sarah Township), Mississippi. He is believed to have moved to Tennessee at an early age and died in Boulder, Colorado, December 1973.
He may be related to Carney Jasper Light, b. September 6, 1893, Sarah, Tate County, MS and Jim (James)Light, b. November 14, 1887, Sarah, Tate County, MS.
If anything else turns up I will let you know and I would be interested in learning of any other information you may find on Roy.
Regards,
Malcolm Light
