Samuel Henderson Light Hawkins Co. Tn

Some researchers have the two Henderson Lights of Hawkins County, Tn in reverse...
Samuel Henderson Light the illigitimate son of Nancy Light. (I have a copy of his death certificate). Samuel Henderson Light was born August 1860 in Hawkins County, Tn and died Oct 23, 1918 in Hawkins County, Tn. He is burried in a small graveyard in Beech Creek, Hawkins County, Tn that are all unmarked graves. Samuel married Mahala Elizabeth Light, the illigitimate daughter of Nellie Light and Nate Barnett. (I have her death certificate, and both parents are named). Mahala Elizabeth Light was born June 11, 1865 in Hawkins County, Tn and died May 27, 1949 in Hawkins County, Tn and she is burried in Morrison Cemetery, Beech Creek, Hawkins County, Tn.
Grandma Hale, as she was lovingly refered, appears on the Hawkins County census with mother Nellie and sister Judith in 1870. I lost her on the census after this, until she reappears in 1900 married to Samuel Henderson Light. I finally found her and her sister Judith listed as servants on the Sullivan County 1880 census in the home of Thomas and Sarah A. Murrell who owned the old Murrell Mansion on Murrell Road, near Fall Branch and Clover Bottom.
The children of Samuel Henderson Light and Mahala Elizabeth Light Light are:
Della Mae Light born May 06, 1898
Mary Jane Light (Aunt T) born April 1884
Thomas Oliver Light born September 1886
William Layfette Light (Uncle Fate) born Feb 1890
George Washington Light (Uncle Wash) born August 9, 1893
Ollie Dexie Light born July 1895 (Died when flu epidemic swept through Beech Creek in 1918. Her father died a few days after she died)
This Henderson Light is not the one nicknamed Hen or Henny who had a cripple leg, and niether one of the Henderson Light's were born the son of John and Jane Morrison Light. However, this is the Henderson which appears on the Hawkins County Census in the home of John and Jane Light along with his mother Nancy Light. For information on the Hen or Henny Light, please see Granville Henderson Light, Hawkins County, Tn.
