Hello Jeff,
From the 1850 census of Hawkins Co. TN, I have a Dolly light born abt. 1827-1828 in Hawkins Co. TN, the daughter of James and wife (name unknown yet).Dolly was 23 in 1850 and gone from the home in 1860.Do you know the approx. marriage date or any other information? This Dolly had sisters, Priscilla and Sarah and brothers, John and Joseph. Her mother had died by 1850 when the census started naming the family of the household and her name is not known yet.James was a possible son of John Light Sr. of Hawkins Co. and grandson of William and Patience Dillingham Light. James was listed on the 1880 census the last time he was found at the age of 80.His daughter, Priscilla remained single and lived with him until then.Neither of them were found on the 1900 census of any of the surrounding counties.James was born 1790 - 1800 and John Sr. had a son born during this time. However, so did his brothers, Vachel and Joshua and he could have been one of theirs.Several of John Sr.'s line married into the Bailey family though.John Sr. is my line.Hope this helps. If you have anything else, let me know I might be able to track it with what I have.
