I was reading the history you posted and it sounds like there may be a connection to some of my ancestors. I would like to find the connection from my "oldest"Light/Lyte to England. He was Richard Light, b. about 1601 (I don't know where). He had his children and died (1679)in Barbados (St. Philip). My direct ancestors are his son, John Light, b. about 1660 in St. Philip/d. 1718, his daughter, Constance or Constancia Light, b. about 1705, who married Richard Wilkinson, and their son, Lyte Wilkinson (from then on it becomes a Wilkinson line). All of them lived on St. Philip in Barbados. I notice that you mention several women named Constance and wonder if this was a family name. If you see any connection here, please let me know. Thanks!
