Joe, I am Steve Light who authored two reports on the Light family: (1) A 30 page report on "Genealogical Notes on the 1775-1850 Light Family Settlement in Montgomery County, Virginia dated 1979 that describes my research on the German Lights that settled in Floyd County, Virginia from New York. The report describes Henry, James, Samuel, John, Enoch, and Lazarus Light and some of their children; (2) The 2nd "book" was a 60 page report of 1989 that is entitled "Genealogy of Rev Henry Light." He was the son of Enoch Light and the grandson of Henry Light (died in 1823 in Montgomery County (at that time) who married first Lydia Hathaway and later Nancy Dinwiddie Kitchen. All of these Lights are desecended from Johannes Leicht from Germany who died in 1669. Rev Henry Light lived most of his life in Fayette County, West Virginia.

I have never sold these "books" but have provided them to people who can contribute to finishing the history of the Light family. I'm currently revising the Rev Henry LIght Generalogy report with the help of some of my cousins. Send me your address at and your interest in the Light family and I'll mail you the reports. They were completed before I had a computer so they are only available as hard copy.
