Canaday Light - one person or two?

Canaday Light, b. 1844 or Canaday Light b. 1839?

Since Canaday seemed to me an unusual name, I thought there was probably only one of them. I'm now wondering if there are two, and if any of you have more definitive information than I do.

Canaday Light 1.
Born abt 1844 to Wilson F. Light and Olive Iddings, Floyd County, VA. Source 1850 census.
Married Mary ? abt 1868, who is the mother of Virginia, b. 10 May 1871, and John b. 7 Aug 1873. Source Floyd County, Virginia Births, 1853-73. Per 1900 census, Mary is the mother of eight children, four of whom are still living, and Canaday was born Aug 1839.

Canaday Light 2.
Father of No name Light, male b. 1 Nov 1876. Mother of No name is Letha. Source Floyd County, VA Births 1873-79. Per 1870 census, Canaday (age 27, i.e. born abt 1843) is married to Aletha (age 26).

Any thoughts on how to sort this out would be appreciated.
