Darlene Morelock Light, 70, of Kingsport, Sullivan Co TN,
died Wednesday evening, February 4, 2009, at Wellmont
Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport after a brief
illness. Darlene was born on May 25, 1938 and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clay Light;
parents, Clyde and Odell Morelock; brother, Jerry
Morelock; and sister, Marilyn Crawford.
Surviving are four sons, Frank Light and wife Donna of
Fall Branch, TN, Fred Light and wife Susie of Kingsport,
TN, Dan Light and Tammy Brown of Kingsport, TN, and Joe
Light of the home; two grandchildren, Ashley McDavid and
husband Jason, and Cody Light; two sisters, Blanche Story
of Kingsport, TN, and Shirley Thorpe of Baileyton, TN; and
several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 6,
2009, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch, TN.
Services will follow at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home
with Brother Danny Dolen officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday,
February 7, 2009, at Morrison Cemetery in Rogersville,
Hawkins Co TN. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
