Raymond 'Rod' Light, 68, of the Baileyton community,
Greene Co TN, died Monday, December 22, 2008, at Bristol
Regional Hospital due to injuries received in an
automobile accident which occurred November 14, 2008. He
had been hospitalized since that time.
He was an employee of North Greene Utility.
Mr. Light was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph
Light and Clifford Light; and an infant sister.
Survivors include a sister, Neola Cooter; four brothers
and three sisters-in-law, Joe Light, Bob and Juanita
Light, and Abe and Phyllis Light, all of Baileyton, TN,
and John and Rebecca Light of Alexandria, VA; two sisters-
in-law, Locheal Light and Effie Light; and several nieces
and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m., December
24, 2008, at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service.
The funeral service will follow visitation at 7 p.m., in
the funeral home chapel. The Rev. James Roberts will officiate.
A committal service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday
morning, December 25, 2008, in Zion United Methodist
Church Cemetery at Baileyton.
Family and friends will meet at 10:20 at the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Weems, Allen 'Snooks' Weems,
Kevin Ricker, Jeffrey Light, Jim Cox, and Tommy Sensabaugh.
Honorary pallbearers will be his friends at Porter Grocery Store.
