It was great to see your message! When I was living in England in the early eighties, my husband, sons, and I went to Cleator Moor in Cumbria, where my grandmother had told me the Webbers lived. By incredible luck, the librarian I talked to in the Cleator Moor library was Louise Tonkin, a granddaughter of Catherine Ann Webber! Richard Webber Sr.'s three sons, Richard, John, and Joseph, all emigrated to Colorado, and their mother, Ann Light, joined them there later. Although my family had known quite a bit about John and Joseph, we knew nothing about the two sisters, Catherine Ann and Eliza Jane, who remained in England. Louise sent me quite a bit of family history, and I later also met Jean Godwin, another descendant of Catherine's, who lived in Richmond. Louise gave me Eliza Jane's name and also the names and birthdates of her four daughters, but she seemed to know little about your branch of the family. So thanks very much for sending the answer to this mystery. How interesting that all of you are now living in Scotland!
