My first reply got lost in cyber space, so here is a second go.
I haven't done much research on the Lights---been concentrating on my other related lines: Harris, Pryor, Gilham, Barber. So, I didn't know anything about Humphrey Light on the 1850 census except for the child Humphrey living in Samuel's household. I can understand the easy-to- mistake parentage----hooray that you have a death certificate, even though I know those, too, can be so wrong.
I have looked at the other messages on Genforum, obviously, but not a whole lot-----just seemed to be more confusing and nothing about the one person I did know---Samuel. These Missouri/Tennessee lines have just opened to us in the last three years. From 1927 until 2001 it was all a mystery, because my grandparents divorced and all contact was lost.
Did you and Margaret Fleenor ever exchange information? Her post is really intruiging.
Right now I am trying to sort out info from a trip to Maryland and MO, and then will be ready to jump into the fray again.
One more thing. Is anyone from any of these Light families listed in the online Missouri Birth and Death Archives? Lots of great stuff there.
If we keep looking, we'll find 'em---somewhere.
Wait---one more---where did you get Samuel's probate info?
