Looking for information on Pvt. M. D. Light. According to his Civil War marker located in the S. Belton Cemetery, he was with Co. I, 17 Texas Infantry, C. S. A.

Information collected on the Civil War veterans of Texas will be used to publish a book to honor their memory.

1880 Prec. 1 Bell County, TX
M. D. Light 45
Eliza Light 40
W. M. Light 20
Annie Light 18
Geo. Light 14
T. Light 11
Mary Light 9
Kate Light 6
Robert Light 4
Eliza Light 7M
Ruff Light 28

The South Belton Cemetery records show the following Light family members buried there; Travis 1868 - 1888, Dora 1880 - 1885, M.D. 1833 - 1922, Robert 1870 - 1908, William , & R. H. (Ruff?) 1848 - 1917.

Any additional information that the descendants could share with me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mary Jo
