Mother or Grandmother of Charles Edwin Griffiths

My grandfather's name is William Light Griffiths. The name Light is not found in his mother's Whitfield family originally from Hampshire, Eng. I surmise it was his paternal grandmother's family name. She would have been born around 1780-1790 perhaps in Wales where she married a person named Griffiths, and then a person name Kennedy. By Mr. Griffiths, a son name Charles Edwin Griffiths was born in 1815. Mr. Kennedy and family moved from Seneca County, NY State in 1829 with at least two of his sons named Kennedy to Detroit, Michigan, where he was a builder and contractor.Kennedy then moved to Canada to become a brewer. The Kennedy son that survived to old age was Romulus, half brother to Charles Edwin Griffiths, my great grandfather. I surmise that the first husband named Griffiths died in England, and C.E. Griffiths' mother then married Mr. Kennedy in Eng. Do any of these names appear in your Light family histories?
